About Warrior’s Edge
At Warrior’s Edge, yoga isn’t just movement—it’s a story you step into every time you arrive on the mat. The name comes from both the mythos of yoga and my lifelong love of fantasy writing. In every practice, we face challenges, conflicts, and triumphs that echo the hero’s journey.
The Warrior poses themselves come from the story of Virabhadra, a mythic warrior born of fire and grief. His journey through battle mirrors what happens in practice: we meet resistance, breathe through it, and come out transformed.
In the same way a fantasy hero confronts dragons, every practitioner meets their own dragons—tight hips in Dragon Pose, the fire of long holds in Chair, the distraction of a restless mind. Warrior’s Edge is about standing your ground in those moments, learning resilience, and realizing that strength is as much about patience and surrender as it is about power.
This is a space for you to find both effort and ease, discipline and compassion, the myth and the meaning. At Warrior’s Edge, your yoga practice becomes the story where you are the hero.
About Andrew
I’m Andrew Stillman, the teacher and writer behind Warrior’s Edge Yoga.
I’m an RYT-500 yoga teacher with certifications in Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, Yin, and Chair Yoga, as well as NASM-certified personal training and EMS certification. I’ve taught everyone from athletes to absolute beginners, from clients building strength to those looking for mindful recovery. My approach blends strong, accessible practices with the tools to adapt yoga to every body.
But Warrior’s Edge isn’t just about asanas—it’s also about story. Alongside teaching, I’m a writer of fantasy and mythology-inspired fiction, and I bring that narrative lens into my classes and guides. Yoga has always felt to me like stepping into an epic: each breath is a page, each posture a new challenge, and each savasana the moment of resolution.
Whether you’re here for strength, flexibility, focus, or just some peace in your day, my goal is to help you discover your own edge—the place where growth happens, where the story shifts, and where you find the warrior in yourself.
